Dallas Hope Charities is the outreach arm of Cathedral of Hope United Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to mobilize and inspire a vibrant, inclusive and progressive volunteer force to bring tangible positive transformation to the lives of all who are marginalized.
The Promise House Sleep Out – A Night Under the Stars on November 9, 2017 raises donations and awareness for homeless, run-away, and at-risk youth by inviting Dallas’ top business and community leaders to sleep outside for one night. Participants will spend the night in the Promise House parking lot learning about the issues that homeless youth face and options available to the community to combat these issues and assist youth in crisis.
Sleeping bags, cardboard, and beanies are provided for participants. Unlike those experiencing real homelessness, sleepers will have access to restrooms, on-site security, food and beverages.
In conjunction with National Runaway Prevention Month, A Night Under the Stars aims to educate the community about youth experiencing homelessness, inspire change and shine a light on youth homelessness! Ask a friend to participate, and double your outreach! Sleepers, sign up now and start building your profile page and we will begin fundraising on September 1st.
