Formerly known as iCare, every Monday, Lunch of Hope volunteers prepare a meal for those who might otherwise go without. This is one of three food programs called Meals of Hope together with Breakfast of Hope and Dinner of Hope. A typical Monday sees 25 volunteers serving 200 meals. At this same event, the Dallas Hope Charities food pantry donates up to 100 bags of groceries, utilizing the nonperishable food donations brought to Cathedral of Hope on the last Sunday of each month.
Lunch of Hope volunteers serve on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 pm. Bilingual speakers (English/Spanish), are always needed. All positions require a background check, and some positions require a valid food handler’s certificate which we can help you to obtain in as little as 90 minutes.
