Formerly known as A Taste of Hope, Dinner of Hope’s goal is to let people living on the streets know they are not forgotten. Meals we serve are similar to what we might serve guests in our home. This is one of three food programs known as Meals of Hope. We also host Breakfast of Hope and Lunch of Hope.
Dinner of Hope is not just about “feeding the homeless.” It is about connecting with the people we serve, even for just a few moments to reassure them that people do care about them. We do this with genuine intent by providing a map with bus/DART route information as well as listing accessible local resources.
Dinner of Hope meets on the second and the last Tuesday of each month. Use the Volunteer button to fill out a Volunteer Application to join us. All positions require a background check, and some positions require a valid food handler’s certificate which we can help you to obtain in as little as 90 minutes. It is by doing this that we enjoy the fellowship of the volunteer group. Each person shares common concerns and willingness to take action.
